Mindscapes and Photoexpressionism

I began this Blog entry mistakenly thinking that I was creating the blog itself, its name, a link from it to more information, an image that captured the title of what I thought was to be my Blog on Fine Art America and by the time I had finished filling in the information and hitting submit it became clear that what the good folks at Fine Art America actually meant was "Blog Entry" and all of the future entries would be found under my name as opposed to my chosen Blog title Mindscapes and Photoexpressionism.

In any case, my Blog was intended to present "musings, meanderings and observations on art and photography's place in it."

So now here I am trying to figure out how to convert the one to the other and what I can say that will have some substance in the face of the reality which is that I would need to write a short tomb in order to cover the topic.

Wayne King receives double honors in Light, Space and Time Gallery's Annual Photography Competition.

Rumney, NH . . .New Hampshire photographer and artist Wayne D. King has been chosen among the honored photographers in the annual Photographic competition sponsored by The Light, Space and Time Gallery. Two of King’s images were chosen from among more than 530 images submitted by artists from 16 countries around the globe. 
“I’m grateful for the recognition,” said King. “To have two images chosen among the 530 entries is a real honor. While winning is always nice,” King continued, having more than one image among the top images is a sign of some consistency of effort and style. 
Wayne King’s images are a celebration of life, blending the real and the surreal to achieve a sense of place or time that reaches beyond the moment into a dreamlike quintessentialism designed to spark an emotional response. New Hampshire photographer and artist Wayne King is featured among five visiting artists for the next three months at Artistic Roots Gallery in Plymouth, New Hampshire.
“I’m pleased to be included with some of the state’s finest artists in this show,” said King. “I have long admired the work of Cam Sinclair, an extraordinary painter, in fact I own a few of his pieces myself,” said King. “This makes me particularly excited to be a part of this show.”
