Wayne King Celebrates Community Libraries and the Arts

Wayne King Celebrates Community Libraries and the Arts
One Week Remaining - Through August 30, 2017

In a celebration of Community Libraries and the Arts,  Rumney artist Wayne King’s “Photoexpressionist Mindscapes”, a collection of his images combining photography, painting and digital manipulation, will be on display for the final week of August in two libraries: Rumney and Lincoln.

The Rumney celebration coincides with Rumney's 250th Anniversary and includes the release of a new book of images titled “A Spot on the Porch”.

The Lincoln exhibit features some of King’s most iconic images including Alton Washday, The Vineyard and Wonalancet Mindscape.

As a part of the exhibit Wayne King has produced a book “A Spot on the Porch” is available from Amazon.com in paperback and hard cover editions. There is also a card, a calendar and poster and even a  postage stamp commemorating the 250th anniversary of the founding of Rumney. Available here: http://bit.ly/Rumney250

Wayne D. Kings images are a celebration of life, blending the real and the surreal to achieve a sense of place or time that reaches beyond the moment into what he calls "a dreamlike quintessentialism" designed to spark an emotional response. Using digital enhancement, handcrafting, painting, and sometimes even straight photography, King seeks to take the viewer to a place that is beyond simple truth to where truth meets passion, hope and dreams.
